Terms of service

The rules of the house.

These terms govern your use of HomeGlow Lab’s AI virtual staging service. By creating an account or submitting images for staging, you agree to them.

§ 01The service

The service

HomeGlow Lab (“HomeGlow”, “we”) provides AI virtual staging for real estate photography. You upload photographs of interior spaces; we use generative AI models to produce photorealistic staged versions; you download the outputs for use in your listings.

The service is delivered through homeglowlab.com and the HomeGlow Studio application. Availability targets are best-effort; we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

§ 02Your account

Your account

You access the service by verifying an email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox secure. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract in your country of residence.

One person or one organisation per account. Sharing credentials between multiple agents is not permitted; team plans are available for firms.

§ 03Acceptable use

You agree not to use HomeGlow for the following:

  • Non-consensual staging of occupied homes. Do not upload photos of a home while its occupants’ personal belongings are visible unless you have the occupant’s written consent to reimagine or replace them.
  • Deceptive listings. Staged images must be disclosed as virtually staged on every listing, portal, and print asset where they are used. You must comply with MLS, portal, and regulator disclosure requirements in your jurisdiction.
  • Altering structural facts. Do not use HomeGlow to misrepresent rooms that do not exist, hide damage, remove load-bearing features, or otherwise deceive a buyer or renter about the physical reality of a property.
  • Unlawful content. No content that infringes others’ rights, depicts minors inappropriately, or breaches applicable law.
  • Abuse of the system. No scraping, reselling raw API access, attempting to defeat rate limits, or extracting our prompts or model weights.

Outputs we produce carry a “Virtually staged” disclosure badge and EXIF metadata identifying them as AI-generated. You must not strip these in a way that conceals the staged nature of the image.

§ 04Credits and billing

Credits and billing

  • Credits. Staging is paid for in credits. Plans grant a number of credits per month or on a one-off top-up basis.
  • Consumption. A credit is consumed when a staging job successfully produces a staged image.
  • Failed jobs. If a job fails for a reason on our side (provider error, internal bug), the credit is automatically refunded to your balance. You are not charged for failed outputs.
  • Non-refundable after consumption. Credits that have been successfully consumed to produce a staged image are not refundable in cash. This is the industry norm for per-render AI services.
  • Subscriptions. Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Unused monthly credits do not roll over unless explicitly stated on your plan.
  • Taxes. Prices are shown exclusive of VAT where applicable. VAT is added at checkout based on your billing country.
§ 05Your images and our licence

Your images and our licence

You retain all rights in the images you upload and in the staged outputs we return to you. HomeGlow does not claim ownership of your inputs or outputs.

You warrant that you have the right to upload every image you submit: you either own the copyright, have a licence from the photographer, or otherwise have lawful permission to use the image for virtual staging.

You grant HomeGlow a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit your images solely to provide the staging service to you. We do not use your images to train models. We do not use your images for marketing without your separate written consent.

§ 06Outputs and your responsibility

Outputs and your responsibility

Virtual staging is a creative aid, not a survey. Staged images are illustrative of how a space could be furnished. You are responsible for ensuring that the way you use a staged image in a listing is accurate, non-deceptive, and compliant with the rules of your jurisdiction and the portal you publish to.

We reserve the right to refuse or remove jobs that we reasonably believe breach these terms.

§ 07Our intellectual property

Our intellectual property

The HomeGlow name, logo, website, software, style library, moodboards, prompts, and documentation are our intellectual property. Nothing in these terms grants you rights in our intellectual property beyond the right to use the service as intended.

§ 08Termination

Termination

You may close your account at any time from the Studio. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe has breached these terms, with notice where the breach is curable.

On closure, your staged outputs remain downloadable for 30 days, after which they are deleted alongside the rest of your account data, subject to the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.

§ 09Warranties and disclaimers

Warranties and disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Generative AI can produce imperfect or unexpected output. We do our best to ship work that is usable on a listing, but we do not warrant that every render will meet your taste or business need. Credit refunds for clearly failed jobs are the remedy.

§ 10Limitation of liability

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeGlow’s aggregate liability to you under or in connection with these terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to HomeGlow in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of profits, goodwill, or business opportunity; or loss of data beyond what can be restored from our standard backups.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully limited.

§ 11Changes to these terms

Changes to these terms

We update these terms when the service changes. Material changes are signalled by email to active account holders at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

§ 12Governing law

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with them, save that if you are a consumer resident in the EU, you retain the benefit of mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
